Dark Chocolate Cheesecake Recipe

Firstly make an Oreo cookie crust.

For this filling you’ll need:

  • 10 oz 70% Cocoa Bittersweet Chocolate – chopped
  • 1 cup of granulated sugar
  • 32 Oz of  cream cheese at room temperature
  • 1/3 c Dark brown sugar
  • 3 Tablespoons of All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract

For the topping :

  • 3/4 cup whipping cream
  • half bar of  70% Cocoa Bittersweet Chocolate – chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sugar

In a large bowl place the cream cheese and mix gently until smooth and fluffy for 5 minutes – ensure there’s no lumps.

Now add the flour, sugar and unsweetened cocoa powder  and continue mixing for another minute.

Add in the vanilla extract and stir for another minute.

Now add one egg  into the mix ensuring that it’s blended before adding the next egg.

Mix together instant coffee and the hot water in another bowl, then add to the cream cheese mixture and stir it all together.

Pour mixture into the oreo cookie crust and bake in the oven.

Remove the cheesecake from the fridge after three hours.

For the topping mix the whipping cream, half bar of chocolate, and sugar in heavy medium saucepan over low heat until smooth, then let it cool slightly. Pour the mixture over the top of the cheesecake.
